Our Programs
Dementia Dance is a movement-based program that brings choreography and cognitive engagement into care centers, nursing homes, and dementia support spaces. Each dance is carefully designed through research on movement and brain stimulation, offering participants meaningful ways to connect through memory, rhythm, and embodiment.
In Korea, the program combines dance with art and craft therapy, supporting multi-sensory expression, while at Kent, where participants often have greater mobility, sessions focus more on physical engagement and learning choreography. Every session is adapted to individual needs, creating space for joy, presence, and creative expression—regardless of age or ability.
2024
I began experimenting with movements based on the research I've done over the winter. I filmed myself and sketched out a few movments.
2023
During 2023 Winter, I began my research on dementia and the effect of dance on cognition.
June
I received the Dementia Partner License issued by the National Dementia Center after 5 hours of training.
I became the Memory Friend Leader after 5 hours of training. Through this training, I was granted the official ability to educate others about dementia after an official training
Reached out to Dementia centers, care centers, and nursing homes. I did this by contacting individual centers as well as posting my community service program on a Korea volunteering platform
